Warrior Adventure Quest (WAQ) is a DA approved and endorsed program by Executive Order. WAQ is designed to re-create the adrenaline rush of combat action in a supervised and controlled high adventure activity. WAQ instills cohesion, builds teamwork and maintains combat readiness. WAQ enables Soldiers to reach “a new stage of normal” after re-deployment by diminishing boredom and adverse high-risk behavior through outdoor recreation and principles provided by the L-LAAD debriefing. WAQ is offered at no cost to the units and is to be executed at the Platoon level within 120 days of re-deployment. Transportation to the activity is the responsibility of the unit.
Unit leadership/POC will contact and coordinate all WAQ activities for their respective platoon’s. To contact and schedule the WAQ program for activities please contact +1 (608)388-3200.
