Rumpel Fitness Center

Operational Changes due to renovations beginning October 24, 2022
The Rumpel Fitness Center will CLOSE for renovations at 7 am on October 24, 2022.  The secondary fitness facility, located in Bldg. 1395, will open at 5 am on November 1, 2022.

Pool/Atrium Area Features

The pool and hot tub are CLOSED until renovations at Rumpel Fitness Center have been completed.

  • Pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool, sundeck
  • 6 lap lanes by appointment only. Call (608) 388-2290 to reserve.
  • Open swimming area
  • Water aerobics belts, dumbbells, resistance gloves and leg floats
  • Fins, pull buoys and kick boards


Fitness Classes will resume in January of 2023 in Bldg. 221

All Army Sports

All Army Sports directly supports the readiness and well-being of Soldiers. Participants may be selected to represent the Army in Armed Forces Sports Championships, National and International competitions. The All Army Sports Program is designed to allow Soldiers to fulfill individual potential and rise to the highest possible level of performance. World Class Athlete Program (WCAP)

Eligibility and Guest Policy


  • Military and Military retirees are free with ID card
  • DoD Civilians and DoD Civilian retirees are free with ID card
  • Fort McCoy contractors are free with ID card

Guest Policy

  • Sep 1 - Apr 30: Each eligible Family member is authorized one guest each day.
  • May 1 - Aug 31: Each eligible Family is authorized one guest each day.
Inclement Weather Plan

If one of the following conditions exist, inclement weather plan will be activated (delayed opening or early closure):

1.  A winter storm warning is put in place by the National Weather Service that predicts greater than 4 inches of snow or icy road conditions.

2. Tomah and/or Sparta School Districts close school due to severe weather forecast.

24/7 Access will remain available.
