Helping You Settle In While You Wait for Your Belongings
When you move to a new duty station, your household goods might take time to arrive. That’s why we have a Lending Closet at your local ACS. You can borrow basic kitchen, bedroom, or to help you get through those first days in your new home.
These items are free to borrow. You just need your military ID and a copy of your PCS orders. The Lending Closet is open to Soldiers, Families, and DoW Civilians.

- Pots and pans
- Dishes and silverware
- Coffee makers and toasters
- Irons and ironing boards
- Folding tables and chairs
- Air mattresses
- Vacuum Cleaners
- Microwaves
Lending Rules:
- Eligibility Requirements: Active Orders - troops must present a physical or digital copy of official orders.
- Station Duration: Personnel must be stationed on Fort McCoy for at least 30 consecutive days.
- Loan Duration: Items are available for a maximum period of 4 weeks.
- Extensions: Contact the lending closet before the due date to request an axtension.
